The Living Arts Space is delighted to present a collection of drawn and hand painted geometric artworks from local creative Jacquilyne Smith.
The artist has taken a unique approach for the free exhibition Meditations in Geometry.
Working with a limited pallet, the artist explores the relationships of colour and shape through a process of creative meditation. This process has allowed her to subconsciously drift into the memory of a place or time, or simply shut out the noise with stunning results.
Acting Visitor Services Centre Manager Karly Bingham said Meditations in Geometry was a vibrant collection.
“Come and immerse yourself in this hypnotic exhibition with beautiful drawn and painted geometric artworks.” Ms Bingham said.
“Jacquilyne has shut out all of the noise to create the artworks and you too are invited to immerse yourself in this hypnotic exhibition.
“It’s calming, colourful works that speak of order, precision and tranquillity when the chaos of the modern world is ever present.”
The community is invited to the free official opening celebration of Meditations in Geometry from 3pm to 5pm tomorrow, Saturday June 29 where you can meet the artist.
The exhibition is open until Sunday August 4.
The Living Arts Space is located at Bendigo Visitor Centre, 57-61 Pall Mall, Bendigo. Artworks from local artists featured at the Living Arts Space can be purchased at the exhibition or online.
