Favourite Flavours — Scooping Energy Savings

Krissy runs Favourite Flavours - a much-loved ice cream shop in Bendigo. With summer heat blasting through single-glazed windows and big fridges working overtime, her energy bills were going through the roof.

She signed up for a free Beat the Power Bills assessment and worked closely with our team to tackle the worst energy wasters first. Here is what Krissy has done and is planning to do to reduce her energy bills:

  • Roof insulation fixed
  • Fridges re-organised to avoid heat zone
  • Two old chest freezers decommissioned
  • Night blinds for ice cream display fridges planned
  • Two new high-efficiency freezers ordered
  • Planning for solar and heat pump upgrades in future
